All Bets Are On for Casino Royale Catawba!

Taking a trip to Vegas is like eating ice cream: in the moment it’s fantastic, but after the rush fades you’re left wondering if it was really worth it. Casino Royale Catawba, however, is all of the fun - without the end-of-trip low. Enjoy everything you love about Vegas: the exciting games, tasty food and refreshing drinks, but you will still leave feeling great, as it was all for a good cause. For only $100 per person, you can play all night long using your “funny money.” Items included in your ticket are heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and a $10,000 token to be exchanged for gaming chips.

In true Vegas style, there will be a game there for everyone! Sit back and relax by playing craps, pulling a slot lever or watching a roulette wheel decide your fate. If you would rather test your skills with a more intricate game such as poker or blackjack, there will be tables for those as well. Casino Royale Catawba has a night of fun in store for you and your friends regardless of what game you each prefer. If you’re new to games of chance, don’t fret! Trained staff will be placed around each table to teach you how to play, and since the money is “funny” what better place is there to learn?

All of the proceeds benefit the Catawba Medical Foundation. The mission of this foundation is to fund the facilities, programs and services of Catawba Valley Health System (CVHS). CVHS is a non-tax supported medical center that serves patients regardless of their ability to pay, which makes fundraising crucial to its existence and advancement. Events such as Casino Royale Catawba enable CVHS to provide the highest quality care to our community, and continue to expand the medical center’s current offerings.

In the past, Casino Royale proceeds made the purchase of our mobile mammography unit possible, helped support important community initiatives, helped purchase a variety of cutting-edge technologies and also new equipment for training staff. Half of the ticket price is tax-deductible, so you can enjoy yourself knowing you are playing for a great cause.

This will be the fifth year Catawba Medical Foundation has held this event, and this year is sure to be the most exciting yet. Help CVHS keep our regional medical center top-of-the-line by joining us on Saturday, September 8th from 7-10pm at PACE@Home, which is located off of Highway 70 in Hickory.
