Once again, CVMC will showcase information about our extensive range of programs and services for seniors to the Prime of Life Senior EXPO at the Hickory Metro Convention Center on Tuesday, August 30th. This annual event simplifies the information-gathering mission for both seniors and caregivers seeking services relevant to their needs. Come visit over 40 booths representing local businesses, agencies and organizations all in one place. Please stop by the CVMC booth during this free event from 9am to 2pm at 1960 13th Ave Dr SE, Hickory NC 28602. This year we look forward to sharing information about our extensive range of programs tailored to seniors including the following:

CVMC Fitness Plus – our conveniently-located 10,000 square plus fitness facility features exclusive amenities including a therapeutic indoor heated pool, group fitness classes and a workout room equipped with treadmills, elliptical trainers, recumbent bikes, stationary bikes, rowing machines, rehabilitation equipment, resistive weight machines, and free weights.

Catawba Seniority – at CVMC, certain privileges come with seniority. Catawba Seniority, a free program for those 50 and above, gives seniors discounts on prescriptions, health screenings and hospital programs as well as “members only” programs and a 10% discount on the monthly rental of Lifeline services plus access to vital educational seminars that can improve your quality of life. Becoming a member of Catawba Seniority is easy! All you need to do is call the Health First Center at 828.485.2300.

Lifeline Personal Emergency Response Systems & Medication Dispensers – our popular Lifeline services facilitate aging in place while enhancing prolonged safety within your home. Life is unpredictable and an unexpected fall or medical emergency can threaten your future health and independence. Lifeline has tools to assist you in protecting your health and independence. CVMC has been offering Lifeline services since 1980 and is pleased to make theses products available to you locally.

Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness Program for Aging Adults – SilverSneakers provides a full access fitness membership to individuals who qualify through their Medicare Advantage Plan or Supplement. SilverSneakers is a program designed exclusively for older adults who want to improve their strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. See our class descriptions to find out the specific classes offered at our facility. SilverSneakers is FREE to those who qualify.
